All 3 tunes that Jah Mason voiced at our first recording session were released as singles and they were all well received but Rainbow Circle Throne was the one that went ballistic. Riding a tuff steppers riddim laid with trumpet, sax and trombone from Crispy Horns plus percussion from Jonah Dan, Jah Mason turned in a performance with righteous Rastafari lyrics and a catchy melody line on the vocal. The tune was an instant hit on its release in April 2003 and remains to this day the biggest selling single on Jah Warrior label.
The riddim was also voiced by Lutan Fyah whose cut “Never Surrender My Faith” was released as a single at the same time. It was voiced by Peter Broggs at a later date and came out as a single called Free Up The Herb for Age Of Venus label.
Rainbow Circle Throne was played by a lot of sound systems and featured in the Dub Stories DVD played by Iration Steppas.
